Realme X7 & Q2 Pro Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) Early Access version released marked as Official version in China, OEM clarifies

Realme X7 and Realme Q2 Pro came out in September and October 2020 respectively with Android 10-based Realme UI 1.0.

While the Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) Early Access version is available for the Realme X7 and Q2 Pro in China, the OEM marked the said update as Official version.

The information comes from the Realme community where a moderator has started clarification threads for the incorrectly marked update.

The Realme X7 and Q2 Pro Realme UI 2.0 update version C.04 is only meant for those who are part of Realme’s Early Access program in China.

Also, the moderator has further stated that the incorrect naming will not affect the functionality and rollout schedule.

While Realme has been doing a fine job sticking to its software update schedule, such mistakes can create a lot of confusion for users.

Nevertheless, the clarification threads indicate that the OEM realized the mistake and promptly acknowledged the same.

It is, however, unclear when Realme X7 and Realme Q2 Pro will get the stable Realme UI 2.0 update based on Android 11.

As per the shared roadmap the likes of Realme X3, X3 SuperZoom, Realme X2, Realme 6, Realme C12, and Realme C15 are slated to get the Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) Early Access version in January 2021.

However, none of the aforementioned devices have received the early access version of the latest OS update yet.

That said, we will keep tracking the development of Android 11 and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
