Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 update Super Wallpapers: List of eligible devices

Xiaomi has recently unveiled the stepped-up version of its in-house skin – MIUI 12.5. This version brings along a big list of new features and optimizations.

The development may have begun but it stays limited to its home ground China for now. The first batch of stable MIUI 12.5 is scheduled to go live in April this year.

Until it arrives, we have a lot more to explore. One of the exciting bits is the new Super Wallpapers.

Xiaomi, with its MIUI 12, introduced a new wallpaper concept and named it, “Super Wallpapers“. Super wallpapers require a good level of processing from the host processor and in return, display a graphic-rich dynamic scenery.

With MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi has once again introduced a couple of more Super Wallpapers with an aim to revamp the viewing experience of Xiaomi devices.

Since it heavily relies on the device’s processor, only the ones with capable hardware will be supported by the new set of Super Wallpapers, you know, just like it was the case with the original versions.

And to clear things up, Xiaomi has now floated a list of supported devices that will get these Super Wallpapers with the MIUI 12.5 update.

Models other than the ones mentioned have no other choice but to settle with what Xiaomi calls, Static Super Wallpapers, including the Snow Mountain Super Wallpaper.

But there’s nothing that can not be achieved in this era of technology. With the wonders of developers, there’s an unofficial way to have a taste of these wallpapers. Here’s how you can run Super Wallpapers on your Xiaomi device.

We expect a similar alternative with MIUI 12.5 Super Wallpapers as well.
