OnePlus is easily the go-to non-Google smartphone vendor when a number of things are put into consideration. Matter of fact, some believe OnePlus has the overall best smartphones out there, but that’s subject to debate.

One particular reason OnePlus handsets are considered the best is the software experience. Be it the actual user experience or the after-sales support, OnePlus has proven over time that it’s the non-Google vendor to beat.

The Chinese company is the only one (besides Google) that guarantees three major Android OS updates for its devices. It is also one of the few companies that guarantee monthly security updates for at least three years.

This extended support is the reason the likes of OnePlus 3 and 3T are currently on Android Pie having made their debut on Android Marshmallow. It is also the same reason OnePlus 5 and 5T are currently on OxygenOS 10 based on Android 10, their third major OS upgrade.

Without further ado, below are all devices that have received the official OnePlus Android 10 update across the globe. As noted, the update also brings OxygenOS 10 (HydrogenOS 10 for those using the Chinese variants).

1. OnePlus 7
2. OnePlus 7 Pro (5G)
3. OnePlus 6
4. OnePlus 6T
5. OnePlus 5
6. OnePlus 5T

The OnePlus 7T, 7T Pro as well as the most recent OnePlus 8 series have OxygenOS 10 out of the box. All things considered, they should be among the first to get a taste of the upcoming OnePlus Android 11 update.

Matter of fact, OnePlus has already confirmed that the newest pair of OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will soon be able to join a Closed Beta program limited to 100 participants. It’s likely to be the first OxygenOS 11 build.

Since OnePlus 3 and 3T are not receiving the official OxygenOS 10 update, the best you can get is a custom ROM based on Android 10, be it Pixel Experience, Paranoid Android, LineageOS, or whatever best suits your needs.

Update 1 (October 14)

IST 01:00 pm: OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro users who have installed the Android 11 update now have the option to rollback to Android 10 (OxygenOS 10) if they wish to do so since the rollback builds are now live.

Update 2 (November 18)

IST 02:39 pm: OnePlus users with devices running OxygenOS 10, or OxygenOS 11 for that matter, can now get their hands on the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition icon pack unofficially. Full story here.

Update 3 (November 24)

IST 11:10 am: The OEM has announced that it will be launching the new OnePlus Store application in India for the OnePlus 6 and newer models. The app will first be available on the OnePlus 7 and 7T series. Head here to know more.

Tech has been my playground for over a decade. While the Android journey began early, it truly took flight with the revolutionary Lollipop update. Since then, it's been a parade of Android devices (with a sprinkle of iOS), culminating in a mostly happy marriage with Google's smart home ecosystem. Expect insightful articles and explorations of the ever-evolving world of Android and Google products coupled with occasional rants on the Nest smart home ecosystem.
