New updates are being added to the bottom of the story…

Original story (from August 24) follows:

The Redmi Note 8 Pro has been in line for the MIUI 12 update since Xiaomi first announced the new skin in China. As expected, the MIUI 12 update rolled out in China first and a couple of weeks later, the Global variants also bagged the update.

Further, Redmi Note 8 Pro users in India and Indonesia got lucky since the stable MIUI 12 update for the device also released in the two regions last week. But users with the European variants of the Note 8 Pro have had to witness the update roll out in other regions and not theirs.

Fortunately, that seems to be changing now since Xiaomi appears to have begun seeding the much-awaited update to users in Europe. This new software update is arriving as version 12.0.1.0.QGGEUXM which has been bumped up from version 11.0.3.0.QGGEUXM.

It brings the Android 10-based MIUI 12 skin to the Redmi Note 8 Pro along with a boatload of new features and improvements over the existing MIUI 11 skin. Unfortunately, some features are missing such as the Super Wallpapers that are part of the MIUI 12 experience.
