Xiaomi Redmi Note 7/7S MIUI 12 stable update released for India (Download link inside)
Xiaomi kicked off with the MIUI 12 update beta testing back in April and the Redmi Note 7 was one of the devices to get the beta update. However, the beta update was available only to the Chinese market at the time as the OEM always updates devices in the home country first.
Some Global Redmi Note 7/7S users signed up for the Mi Pilot program back in June but they are still waiting for the update. After almost a month, the MIUI 12 stable update started rolling out for the Chinese Redmi Note 7 units as expected.
We also reported earlier that the Android 10 update arrived on the Indian Redmi Note 7/7S units, however, it was based on MIUI 11. Now, it seems that the MIUI 12 stable update is out for the Indian Redmi Note 7/7S.
The update version V126.96.36.199 QFGINXM is currently only available for Indian users who signed up for the Mi Pilot program. This means that general users will have to wait a little longer before they can get their hands on the latest custom skin.
Here’s the download link for the Indian MIUI 12 stable ROM:

However, it must be noted that this ROM is only meant for those who signed up for the Mi Pilot program. Also, we advice interested enthusiasts to go through this Redmi Note 8 Pro story before attempting the installation of the ROM as doing so can damage your device.
While this update was due for the Global Mi Pilot program members for some time, at least Indian members can finally try it on their Redmi Note 7/7S for now.
Also, the Redmi Note 7/7S is listed in the second round of the MIUI 12 stable update schedule. However, the OEM has not provided an exact date for the beginning of the rollout. Meanwhile, you can check out our MIUI 12 update tracker to know when it arrives for your Xiaomi device(s).
