Xiaomi MIUI 11 & MIUI 12 list of fixed bugs: MIC not working, random reboot while using camera, swipe up gesture, & more

Xiaomi’s MIUI skin offers a lot of interesting features and with the MIUI 12 update, the OEM has taken the game to another level. However, Xiaomi is known for delivering half-baked updates and then providing bug fixes. There have been instances where the OEM had to pull the updates because of too many issues.

There are many devices that are still running on MIUI 11 while some have received the latest MIUI 12 update. Xiaomi is constantly working on fixing the existing bugs and has already started addressing the most common ones for devices like the Redmi Note 7, Redmi K20 Pro, and more.

Earlier in the month, Xiaomi provided some of its devices running MIUI 11 and MIUI 12 with bug fixes. Also, the OEM stated that upcoming updates will bring bug fixes for issues like MIC not working, P sensor not working, random reboots while using camera, and more.

Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S

There was an issue where the earphone MIC did not work after updating both Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S to version V11.0.2.0.QFGINXM. Xiaomi stated that the issue was because of Google assistant and will be fixed in the next update.

Xiaomi Redmi note 7/7S top issue:
      1. Earphone MIC is not working in V11.0.2.0.QFGINXM
Next OTA will fix this issue.

Reason: Since the service of Google Voice Assistant is a foreground process and is resident in memory, if you open the voice match of Google Assistant, the input thread is occupied by Google Assistant during recording, which causes the recorder to fail to create the input thread successfully, which causes the recorded data to be empty

      Xiaomi Redmi 7A

After updating Redmi Note 7 to version V11.0.2.0.QCMMIXM, users reported that MIC did not work and voice messages had no sound. Again, the OEM blamed Google assistant and stated that the next update will include the fix.

      Redmi 7A top issue:
      1. MIC is not working, and sending voice message in WhatsApp has no sound in V11.0.2.0.QCMMIXM
Next OTA will fix this issue
(Google assistant preempts the Mic problem, the next version is fixed)

      Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro

With the MIUI 12 update version V12.0.1.0.QFKINXM, Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro users were facing random reboots while using the Camera F11 app. The OEM will be fixing this issue in the next update.

      Redmi K20 Pro top issue:
      1. Random reboot while using Camera F11 in V12.0.1.0.QFKINXM
Next OTA will fix this issues
There is no fix for this problem when packaging
      20.7.2 Combined stable version

      Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro

The swipe up gesture did not work on Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro in horizontal orientation after updating to version V11.0.7.0.QECMIXM. The fix will arrive in the next update.

      Mi 8 Pro Top issue:
      1. Swipe up gesture is not working when the phone screen is horizontal in version V11.0.7.0.QECMIXM
      Next OTA will Fix issue.

      Xiaomi Redmi Note 9

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 users were facing an issue where the proximity sensor was not working after updating to version V11.0.5.0.QJOMIXM. This issue has already been fixed by the OEM in an incremental update.

      Redmi Note 9 Top issue:
      1. P-sensor is not working in version V11.0.5.0.QJOMIXM
      Fixed.

      Reason:
The automatic calibration algorithm optimization of the P sensor supplier is incorporated into stable on 6/12.
V11.0.5.0.QJOMIXM is 6/8 packaged, not yet included, and will take effect on the planned 7/7 non-EEA 6.0 version

      Xiaomi Mi A3

In a previous report, Xiaomi also shed some light on the recent Mi A3 woes following the July security update for global users. After the initial rollout was halted, Xiaomi released a newer version to affected units as version V11.0.17.0.QFQMIXM to fix the issues at hand.

Not long after, those who never received the initial July patch picked up an update of their own as version V11.0.19.0.QFQMIXM. The July update has since found its way to European variants of the Mi A3 as well. More on that here.

      Xiaomi Mi A3

It seems that Xiaomi is working hard on releasing bug fixes and resolving major issues so that users can have a smoother experience. Also, with the release of MIUI 12, Xiaomi has brought a lot of improvements.

No one likes using buggy software especially when it comes to daily drivers. Hopefully, Xiaomi strives to get rid of all major bugs before releasing the stable Android 11 update.

Meanwhile, we also have a dedicated MIUI 12 global bug tracker so be sure to check it out to know all the bugs and issues that have been addressed by the OEM so far. Also, go through our MIUI 12 update tracker if your device is yet to receive it.
