Xiaomi came up with its Mi A series back in 2017 with the Mi A1 as the very first entry. Cut to now, the latest entry in the series is the Mi A3 which was launched back in 2019. The device runs on Android One which means that it will receive monthly security updates for three years.

It seems that Xiaomi simply holds on to the Android One update schedule guidelines for its Mi A series without paying much attention to the quality of its software. The July security update started rolling out to the Mi A3 earlier in the month and it was a complete disaster.

The update for the Mexican variants was pushed out to the Global units with some pre-installed apps that could not be uninstalled. Also, there was an issue related to the second SIM card because of which Xiaomi released a public service announcement and the update was pulled.

However, the Mi A3 Global units received another update with July security patch as version V.11.0.19.0.QFQMIXM. While the July update did not roll out to the European units earlier, it has finally arrived with version V11.0.5.0.QFQEUXM.
