We don’t see quite as many tablets in the Android market today but players like Samsung never gave up on this market segment. In 2019, the company unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019).

This budget tablet packs quite the punch with modest specs that should get you through all the tasks you need a tablet for. It is powered by the Exynos 7904 chip and pairs that with 2/3GB of RAM, a 1200×1920 10.1-inch display and keeping the device alive is a 6150mAh battery.

As mentioned, this tablet was first unveiled back in 2019 and it ran Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI out-of-the-box. The device has been receiving occasional security updates but Android 10 has proved elusive.

Unofficially, there are ways to get Android 10 running on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) using aftermarket firmware like LineageOS 17.1 but that requires a little bit of technical know-how.

Today, Samsung is finally rolling out Android 10 to the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 in various regions. This update has been reported for both the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 Wi-Fi Only model (SM-T510) and the LTE model (SM-T515). Below is the update’s changelog.
