[Updated] Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2019 & Galaxy Tab S5e Android 10 (One UI 2) update to arrive in July, testing ongoing

This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (from May 15) follows:

Samsung has already rolled out the stable One UI 2.0 (One UI 2.1) update based on Android 10 operating system to a good number of its handheld devices.

The company is also expected to bring the OS to more devices in the coming weeks and among them are the Galaxy Tab S4 that is set to get it in June 2020. This information came from Samsung Turkey and there’s more coming from the same source too.

Apparently, the Korean company has plans to release the Galaxy Tab A 2019 and Galaxy Tab S5e Android 10 update anywhere between July 1 and August 1, 2020. This is with respect to the Turkish market, but it could affect the wider European region.

Matter of fact, Samsung Turkey notes that both tablets have already started testing the One UI 2 firmware ahead of rollout. This coincides with a recent development from China regarding the Galaxy Tab S5e Android 10 update (beta) testing in the region.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e WLAN version started testing Android 10 system.

The Galaxy Tab S6 got updated straight to One UI 2.1 at the very first attempt to bring Android 10 to the slate. Whether this will also be the case for the Galaxy Tab S5e and Tab A 2019 remains unclear, but we only have less than two months to find out.

Having arrived with Android Pie running the show, this will be the first major OS upgrade for both tablets. Granted, the two should also be eligible for the Samsung Android 11 update, although somewhere deep into 2021.

      Update 1 (June 23)

The stable Android 10-based One UI 2.0 update is now hitting the Galaxy S5e device at least in the UK region as build T725XXU1BTF7 along with the June security patch. The official device page conveys the change.
