Good news for the Motorola Moto G7 users. As per the official Motorola Brazil website, the OEM has started rolling out the Android 10 update for the devices.

A lot has been talked about the Android 10 update for the Moto G7 and users were getting impatient for getting their hands on the Android 10 update. Notably, the update was slated to arrive somewhere in Q2 2020, however, later on, it was reportedly scheduled for July.

Its elder brother, the Moto G7 Plus has already received the stable Android 10 update and it was about time for the Moto G7 to get the update as well.

Well, Motorola did make the Android 10 Kernel source code live, officially, giving a free-hand to the developers to come up with their own iterations of custom ROMs for the device.

The update for Android 10 started on May 7, 2020.

We expect all devices to receive the update by June 7, 2020.

As seen from the text above, the Android 10 update for the Moto G7 device has started rolling out from May 7, 2020, and the company expects to serve all the Moto G7 units with the Android 10 update, by June 7, 2020.

And as mentioned, the update is currently live only for the users of the Motorola Moto G7 in Brazil and the update is expected to extend its reach to other regions in the coming days.

Just to recall, the Motorola Moto G7 came out in early 2019 and it comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box, with almost stock Android UI. This would be the device’s first major Android OS update.

Ideally, Android devices are eligible to receive two major Android OS updates, and since the Moto G7 is now picking up the Android 10 update, it is expected to get Android 11. But, it all depends on Motorola, as there is no official device list available, as of yet.
