New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on MArch 10) follows:

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S20 series alongside its second foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Flip. One common thing about the two family of devices is they both run on the latest One UI 2.1 based on Android 10 OS out of the box.

This means that you get just about the same features in the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Flip, but the uniqueness of the latter forced Samsung to add more tweaks to the software based on the flip-phone design.

Sure, both One UI 2.0 and One UI 2.1 are based on Android 10, but the latter has additional features that are currently unique to the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Flip devices.

As usual, you can always bank on the massive Samsung developer community to find ways of bringing these features to older devices in an unofficial capacity, but why bother when Samsung got your back?

Spotted in Samsung Korea community forums, it appears that Samsung is already working on bringing the new One UI 2.1 update to the Galaxy Note 10 series. The Note 10 already picked up Android 10 OS with One UI 2.0, so this should come as a minor update.

As for when this update will be available for the Galaxy Note 10 series, it remains a bit unclear, but what is vivid here is that the first target market will be Korea, so the wait for the global rollout could take even much longer.

Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 One UI 2.1 update coming too

Apparently, it’s not just the Galaxy Note 10 series that is being lined up for an update to the newer One UI 2.1, but also the aging Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 pair. Granted, the Galaxy S10 series is also on the list, probably alongside a few other devices.

Similar to the Galaxy Note 10, it’s also not known when the Galaxy Note 9 and S9 will pick up the One UI 2.1 update, although more concrete details on the same should be available in the next one or two months.
