If you are the owner of Redmi K30, Redmi 5 or 5A smartphones, then this piece of news will excite you as there is a new December 2019 security update available for download for all of them.

Note that the update is intended for the Chinese variants of the above-mentioned devices, although the global release is expected soon. All the updates for the three devices, along with the December patchset, tag some more features and enhancements as well.

Redmi K30 was unveiled in China on December 10 after a long wait. The device’s major highlight is the 120Hz refresh rate screen. This is the first time any Xiaomi mid-ranger phone comes with such high refresh rate.

And recently, a new update is hitting the Redmi K30 in China. Notably fixes the data usage error on the device. It arrives with version number V11.0.9.0.QGHCNXM and weighs in around 2.3 GB in size.

We are talking about the non-5G variant here. Redmi K30 bagged its day-one OTA a few days ago that brought in some major fixes for the device.
