New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Well well well, it is here folks! The Redmi K20 Pro software update you all have been waiting for has finally arrived beginning with folks in the home country of China, tagging along the latest MIUI 11 stable version based on Android 10 OS.

No, this time it’s for every other Redmi K20 Pro (aka Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro) user in China and not just rolling out to a limited set of beta testers like it was the case with the update to MIUI 11 last month.

The Redmi K20 Pro grabbed headlines when it received Android 10 update alongside the Google Pixels, but this was later determined to be a limited edition rollout.

Today, though, there is nothing limited about the incoming Redmi K20 Pro software update as long as you have the China ROM on board.

The update is arriving over the air as MIUI 11.0.2.0.QFKCNXM and it becomes the first from the company to pick up a stable version of MIUI 11 based on the latest Android 10 OS.

Tech has been my playground for over a decade. While the Android journey began early, it truly took flight with the revolutionary Lollipop update. Since then, it's been a parade of Android devices (with a sprinkle of iOS), culminating in a mostly happy marriage with Google's smart home ecosystem. Expect insightful articles and explorations of the ever-evolving world of Android and Google products coupled with occasional rants on the Nest smart home ecosystem.
