Xiaomi has literally revolutionised the smartphone industry in the last few years. By maximising the specs to price ratio, the company earned the trust of budget-sensitive customers. And, the flash sale strategy during the initial years tremendously increased their demand.

As you know, Redmi is a sub-brand of Xiaomi with a broad portfolio of devices. Of them, they have selfie-centric phones as well. Launched in May 2018, Redmi S2 (known as Y2 in India) is one such offering.

In terms of software updates for Redmi Y2, Xiaomi turned out to be a drama queen. They pulled back OTAs multiple times. In the first of week of this month, MIUI 10.3.4.0 hit the device with a plethora of bugs. Users reported even the system launcher started to force-close after updating to the latest version.

After a couple of weeks, the company has just started rolling out MIUI 10.3.5.0 for Redmi Y2/S2. You will not have to exhaust a huge chunk of data to download the package. Still, it’s better to be ready with a wireless network (especially for the manual flashing).
