We are nearing the global release of Google’s forthcoming Android OS Android Q, and the frequency at which OEMs are pushing last year’s Android Pie to left out compatible devices has geared up.

Korean phone manufacturer Samsung created a stir in the smartphone market with their iteration of Android Pie-based operating system interface One UI. And as much as Android device user are excited about Android Pie, Samsung phone users are for One UI, the OEM’s custom skin based on Pie.

Among smartphones, just recently Samsung pushed One UI to devices like Galaxy J7 Pro, J7 Nxt, A8 Star and J4 Core. Coming to tablets, the LTE variants of Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 (2018) received its first major update just recently in form of One UI/Android 9.0 Pie.

For a quick refresher, Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is basically a mid-range tablet that is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. These tabs originally shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Alongwith a 10.5 inch LCD display, the device also embraces a 8MP rear+ 5MP selfie camera.

As some of you may be aware, tablets often come in LTE and Wi-Fi models. And same is the case with Galaxy Tab A 10.5. As stated above, while the LTE (SM-T595) model of Tab A 10.5 got to taste One UI a few days back, WiFi model (SM-T590) devices of the same were left gawking.

But now the wait for even the WiFi variants of Galaxy Tab A 10.5 users is over, for One UI update is now rolling out on these models as well.As per the changelog, the One UI update (weighs over 1GB) bears build number T590XXU2BSF5/T590OXM2BSF6 & brings along the latest June security patch.

The information about the update going live came from a user on Twitter.

Coming to the changes, users will now be able to enjoy Emojis on Samsung keyboard. With the new adaptive theme, the keyboard will adapt color according to the color of the app in use. In addition, floating keyboard will be available in all applications.

As is usually the case with staged roll outs, the update which is currently available to user in Germany may take time to reach out to all Galaxy Tab A 10.5 units. So hang in tight as you may get to see the update notification anytime on your Galaxy Tab A 10.5 (WiFi variant) soon.
