While Google’s latest Android OS Android Q is the new talk of the town, many smartphones users with devices from different OEMs are still sitting tight, eyeing last year’s Android 9.0 Pie’s arrival.

Take for example the Taiwanese phone manufacturer Asus. Many of their listed devices are yet to get to taste the delightful Pie. But the company is slowly and steadily making progress. Just recently, they outed Android Pie AOSP beta build (without ZenUI) for ZenFone 4 Selfie.

However, there’s still time for the stable Pie build to get rolling. Though we hope that also happens soon. Anyway, moving on, what’s good is that now we have at hand Asus’ Android Pie schedule for a couple of devices – ROG Phone (ZS600KL) and Zenfone 4 (ZE554KL).

Pie on ROG Phone

ROG (Republic of Gamers) Phone, as you may be aware, is the company’s first gaming-centric flagship device that got into business last year. Powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset, the phone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo along with ASUS’ skin dubbed ROG Gaming X UI out of the box.

Just a few days back, the company pushed a major ROG Phone update that carried fixes for bucketload of issues. Dead FPS counter, glitchy Mobile Desktop Dock and Mobile Manager issues to name a few. Sadly, while users were waiting for Pie, it was no where to be seen.

However, going by the latest statement coming form a ZenTalk forums moderator – who confirmed the news from device team – ROG Phone is due to get to taste the much awaited Android Pie sometime in Q3, this year.

After our team’s confirmation, ROG phone (ZS600KL) is expected to upgrade to Android Pie (9.0) in Q3.

Finally, the company has spoken up, as until now there was no ETA for Pie’s advent on ROG Phone. But now you know it?. Hope the company meets up their timeline and delivers Pie on ROG Phone at the soonest in Q3.

Pie on ZenFone 4

Other than ROG Phone, incoming is good news for ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL) users too. ZenFone 4, as you may know, is part of Asus’ ZenFone 4 lineup that was released in 2017. It’s a mid-ranger phone powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC, that shipped with Android Nougat and the company skin ZenUI 4.

It has now come to our notice that ZenFone 4 is likely to receive Android Pie in the coming month i.e. June. The information was shared by the same forums moderator, and here’s what they said:

ZE554KL is expected to upgrade to Android Pie in June.
