For the last few days, the OnePlus community members have been excited about… well, the major overhaul of the official Community app. The app comes preinstalled with OxygenOS, the in-house Android skin designed with OnePlus for their global audiences.

The Shenzhen based smartphone maker made the Community app as a one stop solution for accessing the product forums, submitting bug reports, participating in the community games as well as joining the Open Beta program.

The newest beta of the Community app introduced a number of design changes and improvements. We highlighted those in yesterday’s daily dose of OnePlus related news.

One of the universally requested features – dark mode support, couldn’t make it in this release.

However, OnePlus Community Manager David Y. has assured that the team is working to bring native dark mode support. He has even shared a screenshot of an unreleased build with working dark mode.

OnePlus team also silently added a new feature in their stock launcher app. With the latest 3.3.2 update, the launcher gets support of parking location service.

A similar feature is available in Google Maps for a long time, but hey! Reinventing the wheel is not a big deal!

Reported by XDA Developers, the new update is reportedly limited to Android Pie, which means OnePlus 3 and 3T users may need to wait a little to try out this new feature.

The latest APK is available on APKMirror for manual sideloading.

It seems that the OnePlus team is also preparing to launch new generations of audio products, as we discussed earlier. Well, they are now conducting a survey to gather public opinions on earphone “to provide better products or service in the future”.

What’s your preference on earphone types? In which circumstance you can not live without your headphones? Which aspect of an audio product you care about most?

Interested users need to fill up this online form to participate in this survey. As they say, every opinion matters, so OnePlus is ready to reward you guys:

We will randomly pick two lucky people from those who have filled out the form to win a pair of OnePlus Bullets Wireless as thanks for your participation!

Meanwhile, UK’s (no Brexit jokes, please!) biggest gaming festival – the Insomnia64 is almost here. This year, the fan favorite event is taking place at Birmingham on and from April 19 to April 22.

The tickets are not cheap, but you can grab one absolutely free – courtesy to OnePlus UK and Fnatic.

We talked about the relationship between OnePlus and esports in one of our earlier daily dose. Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus, said the following:

Gaming has always been central to OnePlus and working with Fnatic was, from the beginning, a natural partnership born from friendship: two like-minded organizations looking to push the boundaries.

For smooth mobile gaming, OnePlus phones are ideal candidates for their superior hardware configurations and highly tuned operating system.

The limited edition McLaren OnePlus 6T set the benchmark one step higher with 10 GB of RAM, carbon fiber body and the genes of adventure from McLaren.

Amazon India previously announced that they would start an open sale of OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition in India. The date is now officially revealed – the ecommerce platform will start selling the beast from April 6 (tomorrow), till stocks last.

Well, this is nothing but a stock clearance sell. OnePlus 7 is coming, so I would suggest our readers to wait for another month or two.

Enjoy the weekends guys! See you on Monday. ?
