Update (July 16):

Chinese OnePlus 6 has started receiving another update, see the details here.

Original story:

Arrival of the latest HydrogenOS 5.1.10 update in China undoubtedly raised hopes of OxygenOS users waiting to receive the next version on their OnePlus 6 units (as can be seen in the queries posted across OnePlus Community).

But now, you don’t need to ask here and there any more, as we have the official word from the company.

The wait won’t be long

One of the company employees finally broke silence and shared with OnePlus users the arrival time frame of upcoming updates on the company’s official help forum.

Not only OnePlus 6 users, there’s good news for OnePlus 3/3T users as well – both will be receiving their next update (which includes the July security patch) in the coming week. Here’s the official word confirming the same:

If all goes as planned, the next official releases for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 3/3T will be out next week, with the latest July security patch update.

Don’t worry OnePlus 5/5T users. You won’t be left behind.

There’s an update lined up for you as well. But you’ll have to wait for another couple of weeks, as the company plans to roll out the patch for OnePlus 5 series devices by the end of this month.

The official release for OnePlus 5/5T will be out later this month.

OP-updates

Hopefully, the update will also bring along fixes for excessive battery drain, oil painting issue, Notes app bug and other problems plaguing the company’s latest flagship phone.

OnePlus has already announced what all issues they are going to fix in future updates. We are hoping some of them will bide adieu with the arrival of this month’s updates.

And like always, we are at your service, keeping an active tab on all related developments. Rest assured, we’ll let you know as and when the promised updates get live. So stay in touch.
