Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 9 series consists of a bunch of smartphones. They are the Note 9, Note 9S, Note 9 Pro and the Note 9 Pro Max. Out of these devices, the Redmi Note 9 Pro arguably offers the best value for money.
It packs in the Snapdragon 720G SoC paired with 6GB RAM and a massive 5020 mAh battery. On the software front, Android 10 comes pre-installed alongside MIUI 11. Therefore, the device is in line to receive the MIUI 12 update and Android 11 later on.
The latest update for the phone comes in the form of the Global Stable ROM v11.0.4.0.QJZMIXM. This new update does not bring any major fixes or features to the device. Instead, it brings a couple of optimizations that are listed below:
– Optimization: Increased system stability.
– Optimization: Reduced system lag.
However, as we reported earlier, the fix for the Wi-Fi and GPS bugs is not yet arrived. According to the information provided in the report, the fix was expected to arrive before the MIUI 12 update.
But from the moderator’s response in the announcement thread for the new update, it seems that the MIUI 12 update will bring a fix for these two and more issues.
What I’ve heard from the team is that these bugs are expected to be fixed in MIUI 12. Since the devs are currently working on releasing MIUI 12 for this device, we may need to wait until its release. No ETA for now.

This might be the last MIUI 11-based update for the device. MIUI 12 for the Note 9 Pro was suggested to arrive during the phase 2 rollout. However, new information on the matter makes it seem that the MIUI 12 update for the device will arrive with phase 4.
