New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 2, 2020) follows:

MIUI 12 was launched back in April 2020 and since then it has been the talk of the town among Xiaomi users. As you would expect from a Chinese OEM, an MIUI 12 update schedule was shared by Xiaomi, but was limited to the Chinese market.

The beta testing program took off almost immediately in China and global Xiaomi users were left wanting for it.

A month later, the global MIUI 12 update roadmap made its way and depicted the names of devices in phase 1 and phase 2 of the rollout. Phase 1 of the MIUI 12 rollout kick-started in June 2020.

Looking at our dedicated MIUI 12 update tracker, several Xiaomi phones have already picked up MIUI 12 stable update in different regions. For a detailed look, you can head over here.

And if we go by recent information shared on the official Mi community forum, an alleged MIUI 12 release roadmap has popped up for phase 2, phase 3, and phase 4. It depicts the names of Xiaomi phones and the phase in which these devices will pick up the MIUI 12 update.

One important thing to note is that this roadmap is for China, and for this very reason, it does not include Poco F1 (Pocophone F1), as the phone is not sold there.

As per the roadmap, the phase 2 (or second batch) includes Mi MIX 3, Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi Mi 8 Series, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, Mi CC9/CC9 Pro, and Mi 9 SE.

Phase 3 includes Mi MIX 2, Mi 6X, Redmi 8, 8A, Redmi 7, 7A, Mi CC9E, Mi Note 3, Mi Max 3, Mi 8 Youth Edition, Mi 8 SE, Redmi S2, Redmi Note 8, Redmi 6, 6 Pro, Redmi 6, 6A, and Redmi Note 5.

Finally, phase 4 of this MIUI 12 roadmap includes Redmi Y3, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.

Well, it is difficult to judge the legitimacy of this roadmap and we would advise our readers to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt until something official comes up.
