Original story (from July 17) follows:

Xiaomi’s latest skin known as MIUI 12 has brought a boatload of new features and improvements. For starters, the company has completely revamped the user interface and certain system elements. Further, Xiaomi has added some cool new features such as the Super Wallpapers.

Unfortunately, not all the new items make their way over to all eligible devices. Take for example the Super Wallpapers. These cool new 3D-live wallpapers offer a cool effect while unlocking the phone. But Xiaomi has decided not to make the feature available on all MIUI 12 supported devices.

The Redmi K20 or Xiaomi Mi 9T is one of the devices that are not supported officially. However, in the Android world, a lot is possible thanks to the developer community.

Installing the custom ROM will enable the Super Wallpapers on the device. Of course, much like any other live wallpaper, the battery life will take a hit. Nonetheless, it does not seem like Xiaomi will change its mind and enable the feature officially on the phone.
