Following the launch of the Poco X2, it was clear as day and night that the support offered to the older Poco F1 aka Pocophone F1 would begin to diminish.

Indeed, Poco didn’t waste time confirming this development via the official Mi Community forums, claiming that the age of the device is the reason the frequency of software updates will be decreasing.

Speaking of the Mi Community forums, there is an interesting development regarding the Poco F1. Apparently, Xiaomi India has ousted the device from its community product page, leaving device owners pretty much confused.

@IndiaPOCO @POCOSupport @cmanmohan hello team Poco today Xiaomi India has ended the community support for poco f1 via mi community? What about future updates and community support?

POCO by Xiaomi became independent not long ago. The company wants you to believe that it has nothing to do with Xiaomi, which is perhaps the reason behind the removal of the Poco F1 from the Mi Community forums.

When asked about the developments surrounding the Poco F1 support, C Manmohan, the General Manager of POCO India, had the following to say:

We are working on a new community place. In the meantime please keep reporting the bugs in the feedback app.

So yeah, the Poco F1 might no longer live in the Mi Community, but it doesn’t look like the device will be completely forgotten. Xiaomi still wants those bug reports sent via the feedback app. Matter of fact, the Poco F1 MIUI 12 update was recently confirmed as well.

There are rumors of a true Poco F1 successor in the works, so we can expect the new device to join the Poco X2 in the new community place for Poco devices at some point. No one knows when, though.

Update 1 (November 27)
