Here’s the crux of the article in video form

World of Warcraft (also known as ‘WoW’), the hit MMO from Blizzard, recently received a patch with new content. However, it seems that it also brought up some annoying issues.

According to multiple reports, the WoW PvP rewards now are not upgradeable as players are unable to add a socket to the items.

WoW players can’t add a socket to PvP rewards or items

One of the main mechanics in the WoW gameplay allows you to upgrade items and weapons in different ways. Adding sockets to items is one of the most used methods.

‘Socketing items’ basically consists of inserting gems to a special slot. This allows you to instantly boost certain stats on those items.

That said, currently World of Warcraft (WoW) players can’t add a socket on their PvP items or rewards, as they get an error message saying they are not upgradeable or cannot be modded.

Can’t apply sockets into Crimson Gladiator’s Amulet

On my ALT character (ManteigaV), I can’t apply any sockages into the neckless (Crimson Gladiator’s Amulet). I’mtrying to use the Tiered Medallion Setting T1, T2 and T3, and none of this works. The game says that this item can’t be modified.

That said, it seems that sockets still work on non-PvP items, according to some players.

Cannot put sockets on pvp necklace

After buying a Conq PvP neck (Crimson Glad Necklace – The haste one) I was unable to use the Tiered medallion settings on the piece saying it is ineligible. Strangely this works on my mastery version of the neck.

The bug reportedly started from the latest WoW patch (v10.0.5), which arrived a few days ago.

Also, multiple players are upset as there have been two server maintenances since the reports related to the glitch surfaced, but neither brought a fix.

its been 3 days, we have had 2 maintenances whilst people have spam-reported this bug and still no hotfix, gg blizzard. Swifty got hotfixed out of the game within hours but actual bugs are whatever, right.

There is still no official word on this issue from the Blizzard team. We will update this story as events develop in the future.
