However, the OEM later announced that OriginOS will be unveiled at a Special Event on November 18 in Shenzhen, China.

Now, Vivo has already started the OriginOS early experience registrations and limited users will get to taste the latest custom skin from November 23.

Interested Vivo fans have time until November 18 to register for the said program and the OEM will release the list of qualified candidates on November 20.

First stage registration time: November 12, 2020 – November 18, 2020
List announcement time: November 20, 2020
Trial model mailing time: November 23, 2020
The second phase of the evaluation: November 23, 2020 – December 12, 2020

However, the OEM will pick users based on a certain criteria, hence, this might still be considered as an early access phase.

While not much is known about the upcoming OriginOS update, it is said to be completely different from the existing Funtouch OS skin.

Also, Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro will be the very first devices to offer the latest custom skin straight out-of-the-box.

The OEM has been very ambiguous about the upcoming custom skin as no major details, apart from the redesigned UI, have surfaced so far.

So, it seems that the OEM is about to unravel a lot of mysteries on November 18 but until then, the wait is on.

Nevertheless, it is still good to see that Vivo is making every effort to deliver the best user experience possible.
