Verizon Samsung Galaxy A50 One UI 3.1 (Android 11) update released

Samsung has rolled out the Android 11 update with its One UI 3.0 or One UI 3.1 skin for most smartphones from its portfolio including the Galaxy A50.

However, the update is yet to hit certain models in some regions. This, of course, is common in the Android world since OEMs roll out updates in a staggered manner, and carriers also delay the rollout.

Speaking of carriers, Verizon and Samsung have finally released the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update for the Galaxy A50 in the U.S.

The update is live with the software version number A505USQUBDUC2 and the March 2021 security patch has been thrown in for good measure.

The official changelog on Verizon’s website indicates that the update brings the One UI 3.0 skin, however, as you can see from the screenshot above, this is not the case.

Now that the update is live for the Verizon models in the U.S., it’s likely that we’ll see other carriers begin seeding the update soon.

That said, Samsung is expected to release Android 11 with its One UI 3.0 or One UI 3.1 skin for a few more smartphones this quarter including the Galaxy A12, A02s, and others. More on this here.
