There are various ways for iOS users to attain jailbreak on their devices in order to take advantage of the countless jailbreak tweaks. The most common way to do this is by the use of a jailbreak tool, a piece of software that is built to take advantage of a given vulnerability in iOS.

The most commonly used tools to attain jailbreak on iOS are checkra1n, and uncover. These tools are frequently updated to support the very latest versions of iOS and to fix bugs that might arise from previous builds.

There has been a ‘race’ to jailbreak exploit iOS 13.5. Not too long after we saw a release of checkra1n that supports iOS 13.5, unc0ver is also getting an update that adds support for the new version of iOS.

To recall, we recently got word of this update coming and at the time, the team over at unc0ver was still performing the final security checks on the jailbreak tool, with the promise that the unc0ver v5.0.0 would be able to jailbreak any iOS device running iOS 11.0 – 13.5 (excluding 12.3-12.3.2 and 12.4.2-12.4.5).

It appears the tool is finally ready for primetime and unc0ver v5.0.0 is now available for download from the tool’s official website.

What’s New:
-Full-fledged support for all devices on iOS 11.0-13.5 with Cydia and tweak injection

The highlight of this update is the fact that this version of unc0ver is now able to jailbreak any version of iOS from iOS 11, all the way to the latest iOS version 13.5 with only a handful of exceptions, at least according to the release’s disclaimer.

This update no doubt comes as a breath of fresh air to the countless jailbreak users who were hesitant to update their devices to the latest version of iOS, fearing they might lose their jailbreak by doing so.
