New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on February 25, 2022) follows:

In the last few years, Twitter has grown both in terms of userbase and popularity. Due to its massive popularity, the platform changed the character limit for tweets from 140 to 280 in 2017.

The company generated a revenue of more than $5.08 billion in 2021. While Twitter has retained its original look and feel, the developers did add several new useful features that resulted in increased revenue and user retention.

But as is the case with every online service, users have had their fair share of bugs and issues such as the recently reported issue where the translate tweet function was not functioning or the Android app minute timestamp showing capital M.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Twitter users are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that their timeline is auto-refreshing.

In case you didn’t know, the platform stopped auto-refreshing timelines so tweets couldn’t disappear when the user was reading them in November last year.

Even the developers had acknowledged that the feature was annoying at best. Below are some reports from Twitter users complaining about their timeline auto-refreshing.

@TwitterSupport please fix my latest tweet timeline. It’s not latest tweet anymore, it’s just like home but with only my following. also it auto refresh every time i open twitter

Are you?!?!??! I was literally about to see an image of Stella and Shizuku together and give it a like and Twitter auto refreshed. Auto refresh is the worst system ever made and it was made to have people’s attention get thrown at an ad.

But now that auto-refresh is enabled, many are angry with Twitter since the tweets they are interested in are disappearing once again.

As it turns out, Twitter seems to be aware of the timeline auto-refreshing issue. It looks like they are already working on a fix, but haven’t shared any timeframe on when it will be fixed.

Sorry for the frustration. Our team is aware of this issue, and they’re working on a fix. We’ll reach out if we need more info.

We hope the developer fixes the bug as soon as possible. Until then, we will be keeping an eye out on the matter and update this space as and when we come across more information so make sure you stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
