The Texas Chain Saw Massacre players have lately been reporting an issue where ‘XP or Skill Points’ are missing after leaving matches.

Even though the recently launched game is already a hit among the masses, it is evident from this and other developments that it is not without its own set of bugs and glitches.

We recently highlighted an issue where The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’s ‘lobby invite codes’ were exceeding 6 characters.

And by looking at the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), it seems that a new one has surfaced. Gamers assert that the experience points (XP) system within the game is plagued by technical glitches.

They have observed instances where XP and Skill Points are not awarded properly upon completing matches or achieving milestones. A few have also noticed that XP points earned after playing matches keep disappearing.

Notably, this also happens when one advances to higher levels. As per the claims, the points do increase for a short span of time, but they go back down to their old numbers after leveling up.

Players have also noted that they get reverted to the previous level after leaving a match or entering a new one.

And to make matters worse, they cannot unlock and try new outfits due to the inaccurate statistics. Some also contend that they are unable to explore new characters and their unique traits.

One of those impacted says that despite receiving notifications about leveling up, their actual level remains unchanged on the game’s main menu.

Xxp is either painfully slow or bugged. levelling up takes foreverrrrrr i cant try new characters.

Another adds that they do not receive skill tree points even after staying in the match until it concludes. They also think that it’s impossible to acquire additional points after the character reaches Level 10.

Several are disheartened, as they did not expect to be facing multiple issues with a recently launched game. And understandably, they have taken to web forums to express their frustration and ask for a fix.

Fortunately, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre support team has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently working on a fix. They have also asked the affected gamers to share their feedback by raising support tickets.

That said, we’ll keep an eye on this topic and let you know whenever we come across any update.

05:37 pm (IST): Support team has confirmed that they are working on a final fix. In the meantime, they’ve suggested gamers to uninstall and re-install the game as a potential workaround.

However, it is not working (1, 2) for everyone.

05:07 pm (IST): The missing XP or Skill Points glitch is still present in the game with no ETA for a fix (1,2,3).

Some people are thus trying to avoid losing XP by playing the game till the very end (even if they’ve already died), which is rather annoying.

I really really really really really really really really really really really really really hope this Victim XP bug gets fixed sooner than soon I know @TXChainSawGame has all hands on deck to fix it ASAP but fuck it sucks !!! As a work around you have to stay the full match and that can be very frustrating

05:37 pm (IST): TTCSM players (1,2,3) are still unable to leave matches without losing XP, and there is no estimated time of arrival for a fix.

05:47 pm (IST): According to reports (1,2), the missing XP or Skill Points bug still remains persistent, and one cannot leave matches without losing XP.

05:18 pm (IST): A player has noticed that even after staying for the entire match there’s no guarantee they’ll get the XP points.

And due to the XP bug, it is an absolute requirement to be ‘eligible’ to receive them.
