Some Samsung Galaxy S21 users still stuck on October security update, but there's a potential workaround

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series is one of the best Android smartphones to date. Users and critics alike have hailed the series since its January 2021 release.

Despite the fact that these gadgets have several of Samsung’s most advanced mobile technology, they still have had a number of issues.

We previously highlighted how the volume started getting lower and stopped receiving calls or texts in some S21 devices.

And now, it seems that some Galaxy S21 owners (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are still stuck on the October 2022 security patch and haven’t gotten the latest firmware yet.

There are also some cases where a handful of devices haven’t even received the Android 13 update (1,2,3,4,5,6) and are still running on Android 12.

It appears that the issue isn’t limited to a specific carrier as both Galaxy S21 smartphone users on unlocked and various other carriers are facing this problem.

This is quite frustrating as even after resetting factory settings, some users are unable to get past the October security update.

Alternatively, users can also try using Odin to flash the latest firmware.

Well fuck u could get the U1 update easily. Have you tried plugging it into a PC and opening Smart Switch? If that doesn’t do the trick just get Odin and sideload it non-destructively EASILY

Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t commented on this issue where some Galaxy S21 owners are stuck on the October update. So affected users can try using the workarounds mentioned above.
