While attention in the Samsung community is slowly shifting towards the rollout of One UI 2.5 to eligible devices, there are some units that were set to receive an update to One UI 2.1 that are yet to bag this update.

We have a tracker dedicated to keeping tabs on the rollout of One UI 2.1 to more and more devices and you can check it out here for a more detailed look at the state of this rollout.

Launched back in 2018, the Galaxy Note 9 remains one of the beefy Samsung devices we have today, its advanced age notwithstanding. The device is in line for an update to One UI 2.1 and already, we have seen the device bag the update.

One UI 2.1 has already rolled out to the Galaxy Note 9 in Europe, India, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, Kenya, India among many other regions. More on that here.

In the United States, we have seen the Verizon Galaxy Note 9 bag this update with the June security patch. The Sprint and T-Mobile variants of the same have also been updated.

Today, yet another Note 9 in the US is getting updated to the much-awaited build of One UI. This, the US Unlocked variant for users on T-Mobile. This rollout follows the Unbranded U.S unlocked model, and the AT&T variant which bagged this update in late July.

This update brings with it the July 2020 security patch level and weighs in at just shy of 1GB. You can identify this update by its build number ETG3. The changelog also sites a few bug fixes and improved system stability.

This build should be rolling out to US Unlocked Galaxy Note 9 units on T-Mobile in the course of the next few days and weeks and as such, users of eligible devices should sit tight and look forward to the new update notification on their devices.
