Exciting news for Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro users as a recent update brings the highly anticipated Auto Switch functionality that was previously exclusive to Google Pixel Buds. The Auto Switch function improves the user experience by automatically managing the connections between your Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and other devices.

When activated, the earbuds automatically identify and prioritize incoming calls, smoothly switching the audio source to your phone no matter which device you’re using (tablet, laptop, or a compatible Samsung Smart TV). This removes the need to manually disconnect and reconnect the earphones, resulting in a seamless and uninterrupted functioning.

The update description also highlights enhancements to Auracast, a technology Samsung introduced last month. While the specific nature of these improvements is unknown, it appears that Samsung is actively developing the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for full Auracast integration. This technology holds promise for a more convenient audio experience, perhaps allowing for direct wireless connection to compatible TVs without the use of intermediary devices.

We can anticipate a future update that will introduce the complete package of functionalities promised last month, including the aforementioned interpreter mode and the full realization of Auracast capabilities. This is not the first time these two giants have shared a feature, we have already seen ‘Circle to Search‘ and the confirmation of Galaxy Ring support. So I am all for it and admire the path that these companies are taking.
