Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

Rainbow Six Siege is one of the most popular esports titles in the world. Released in 2015, the game had more than 9.92 million hours on Twitch in April 2022.

That said, Ubisoft recently revealed Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 2 content, which includes a new operator, a Deathmatch map, and a Yakuza crossover.

However, issues such as the game connecting players from the Oceania region to Asia server and the FoV bug that causes objects to disappear have troubled many in the last few weeks.

And as if that wasn’t frustrating enough, Rainbow Six Siege players are now complaining about a bug that causes them to get stuck on the camera (1,2,3,4,5).

Defenders say whenever they access the camera feed to check on the attacking side, they get stuck and are unable to get out or move their character for the whole round.

This is causing frustration amongst players since it is giving the attackers an unfair advantage. The only way to get them out is if the enemy downs them or you shoot them.

But we do not advise shooting your own teammate since friendly fire might get you into trouble. Here are some reports from Rainbow Six Siege players who are stuck on camera when playing the game.

@Ubisoft @Rainbow6Game you guys seriously need to fix the defender camera glitch for console (ps4, not sure if xbox experiences it) because during a ranked match i was stuck on the cameras during a 4-4 match point clutch and had to surrender due to that. it happens a lot.🙄

no… the bugs just happen and that’s it :/ a little while ago it was the one of the cameras during the rank that I couldn’t get out of them.. then it was the reconnection request that never happened… I think now it’s not asking to reconnect +

Thankfully, Ubisoft Support commented on the matter and said they are aware of the issue where Rainbow Six Siege players might get stuck on the camera feed. However, they did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed.

Thank you! We are aware of this issue and are actively investigating it. We are passing your report on to the investigating team. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We hope they soon find the root cause of the issue and fix it at the earliest since it is making the game unplayable for many. When they do, we will be updating this space to let you know so stay tuned.
