But as is the case with online games, players have complained about issues such as the mouse cursor getting stuck in the top left corner of the screen and absurd queue times on PS5.

That said, developers recently added an FoV slider to the console edition of the game. But as it turns out, Rainbow Six Siege players are now reporting that setting the FoV to 90 is making objects disappear or textures pop in or out (1,2,3,4,5).

Some say the increased FoV bug is helping them see through walls, giving them an unfair advantage over those playing the game at 60 FoV. Here are some reports from Rainbow Six Siege players who say objects disappear with increased FoV.

At 90 FOV walls disappear and can see through them. There are no issues within close proximity to a wall but when there is a long sight line, the wall appears to be gone. This is probably due to the game trying to load more textures and chooses to get rid walls and objects furthest from the player.

If you have FOV up to 90, on some maps it gives you a wallhack at times. Notably on Oregon. If you are far enough, the blue barrels outside bunker, will disappear and you can see if someone is behind them. Also, upstairs in kids you can see through the bunks at times. I dont know if this happens on Playstation, but this happens on xbox.

Thankfully, R6fix has confirmed the Rainbow Six Siege issue where where objects are disappearing when FoV is set to 90 on consoles. However, they did not share any ETA on when the problem will be fixed.

We hope the developers soon find out the root cause of the problem and fix it as soon as possible so players can enjoy the newly added feature.

Rest assured, we will be keeping an eye out for further developments on the issue and update this article as and when we come across more information so make sure you keep checking this space.
