Original story (published on December 08, 2021) follows:

Pokemon Go is undoubtedly the most popular augmented reality mobile game played by millions of gamers around the world. The game encourages players to get out of their homes and catch Pokemons in the real world.

Having said that, being a widely played video game, players also come across bugs and issues on a frequent basis.

Recently, users have complained about issues such as Deino showing a bald avatar, trouble catching Aerodactyl, Trainers issue with Friend list, and more.

Same Pokemon hatches from egg repeatedly

And now, some Pokemon Go players are reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) yet another issue with the video game where the same Pokemon hatches from the egg repeatedly, instead of getting a new one each time.

Here are some reports for reference:

Theres a weird bug with this new update… if u hatch 2 eggs at the same time, the second egg hatches the same mon as the first visually, and if uv already transferred the first one it bricks the game when u try to transfer it again. Happened to me twice this morning. Anyone else? (Source)

@NianticHelp @PokemonGoApp There’s an egg hatching glitch when using “Native Refresh Rate”. When hatching multiple eggs at one time the 1st animation you see is what you will see out of all of them that u hatch at that particular time. I hatched 6 Snover out of 6 different eggs.(Source)

In particular, when players hatch two or more eggs at the same time, the Pokemon hatched from the first egg appears to hatch from every egg.

Issue gets acknowledged, fix in works

On the brighter side, Pokemon Go has already acknowledged this issue saying that it’s a known bug and currently under investigation.

Moreover, its also been listed in the known issues list of Pokemon Go. The support also clarified that it’s a visual bug and the Pokemon actually hatched from the eggs will appear correctly in PokeBag.

Sorry for the trouble, Trainer. We’re investigating this issue where the same Pokémon appears to hatch repeatedly when multiple Eggs hatch at once. Please stay tuned to our Known Issues page (http://bit.ly/2N2d6fu) for updates. We appreciate your patience! ^SF (Source)

Currently, there is no workaround available that would solve this glitch and we hope that devs fix it as soon as possible. While we wait for Niantic to solve the issue, you can share your thought about the same in the comments below.

That said, we will keep you posted with the latest information on this issue as and when anything new comes to our notice.
