OnePlus’ Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update is yet to arrive in the stable version while some OEMs have already released their Android 11-based stable updates.

The OEM is known for providing timely updates but it seems that OnePlus is lagging behind this time as there is no news on the OxygenOS 11 (Android 11) stable update yet.

It has been nearly a month since Google released Android 11 for several Pixel series devices and OnePlus was expected to deliver the latest OS update soon after.

However, users are still awaiting the stable version of the latest OxygenOS on their eligible OnePlus devices including the OnePlus 8 series.

It must be noted that Google and Essential Phone released Android 9-Pie at the same time i.e. August 6, 2018 while OnePlus released the OS update after over a month on September 21, 2018.

The OEM was substantially quick with the OxygenOS 10 (Android 10) stable update as it started rolling out to the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro from September 19, 2019.

This was just sixteen days after Google released the then latest OS update for Pixel devices on September 3, 2019.

This clearly showed that OnePlus is hell-bent on delivering timely updates to its eligible devices but the OEM seems to have taken a backseat this year leaving many users anxious.

The reason behind the delay in the OxygenOS 11 (Android 11) stable update release is unclear and users are already asking about it.

One of the reasons behind this delay could be that OnePlus is giving a major overhaul to OxygenOS while doing away with the close-to-vanilla Android experience.

Nevertheless, this is still based on our speculation as no official announcements have been made regarding the OxygenOS 11(Android 11) stable update release yet.
