Developed and published by Crytek, Hunt: Showdown is a shooting game that was released back in August of 2019. The game places players in an open world where they have to fight against AI-controlled enemies and other real players.

It features two primary modes – Bounty Hunter and Quickplay. The latter is a Battle Royale game mode that lasts somewhere around 15 minutes.

But as is the case with every other recently released title, players have complained about bugs and issues such as many being unable to place or deploy bear traps or botched sensitivity for controllers after the 1.8 update.

Adding to the list of issues, Hunt: Showdown players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that the Romero ADS is bugged. Many say the ADS on the gun is slightly raised, which makes it hard to see where the bullet will hit.

The issue seems to have surfaced after the 1.8 update that was released a few days ago. Unfortunately, generic solutions such as verifying game files on Steam and reinstalling the game do not seem to make any difference.

You can see in the image below what the bugged Romero ADS looks like.

Here are a few reports from Hunt Showdown players affected by the Romero ADS bug.

@HuntShowdown Hey dear Hunt team. First of all, you keep doing great work like this. I would have a small suggestion for improvement. Could you soon enlarge the grain of the Romero in the Ads view a bit? Is hardly visible and many shots therefore went wrong.

Romero 77 ADS Changes. why did they change romero’s ADS view? it was good the way it was and now it looks like elephants trunk with the sight having little to no view from user perspective. Please don’t ask why you ads with romero

Thankfully, Hunt: Showdown developers have acknowledged the issue and said they would be fixing the Romero ADS bug in the 1.8.1 update. However, there is no ETA on when the patch will be out.

This bug will be fixed with the next patch, Update 1.8.1!

We hope the developers release the update as soon as possible since it is nearly impossible to use the Romero right now.
