If you are interested in online multiplayer survival games, you must be familiar with Conan Exiles. Developed and published by Funcom, it is based on Unreal Engine 4 and was initially released in May of 2018.

The game is set in the world of Conan the Barbarian with the player initially convicted of several crimes. It also provides many character customization options including physical attributes, voice, and gender.

Players are required to choose from seven religions that include Set, Mitra, Yog, Ymir, Derketo, Zath, or Crom. Apart from fighting hostile enemies, players have to manage their hunger and thirst if they are playing on a PvP server.

Gathering and crafting various items grant Experience points to the players that contribute to the character progress. Having said that, the developers often release updates that either bring in new features or events to keep it fresh.

However, some of these updates result in some bugs and glitches such as the one in June that resulted in the game crashing and freezing for many.

Now, Conan Exiles players are reporting that the Nemedian fences around their bases are not working as intended. Many say other players are able to climb the anti-climb fences, rendering them utterly useless.

Bug Description: Fences do not work properly from the new DLC People of the dragon. I tested first in single player then on an official pvp server – and it seems the fences and crenelated fences do not work as I assume intended. I made sure all other fences of every DLC is still working it only seems to be the new ones. You currently can just walk over them no matter what wall of any DLC or none DLC building piece they are placed on. Please fix this asap as it kinda defeats the purpose of the fences.

Love the new People of the dragon DLC, Great work! But you can climb on the fences & crenelation. I really hope its not intended (or else the fences will be utterly useless) please say its a coding error from your part. I already upgraded all my fences around my base, but now everyone can just climb up my wall in apvp server

Players say they fenced their bases in hope of thwarting other players on the PvP server but now feel like they wasted their resources doing so.

Fortunately, it looks like Conan Exiles developers are aware of the bug with the Nemedian fences not working as designed. Funcom said that the issue will be fixed in an upcoming hotfix that will come out sometime next week if everything goes as planned.

Hello! We’re aware of this issue and it will be fixed in an upcoming hotfix, tentatively planned for release next week (barring last-minute emergent issues)

Till then, users will have to use other fences to protect their bases from intruders. When the hotfix comes out, we will update this article to reflect the same so make sure you keep checking this space.
