[Updated] FIFA Mobile crashing in Challenge Mode issue acknowledged, but there's a temporary fix

Developed by EA Mobile and EA Canada, FIFA Mobile is a mobile game developed for Android and iOS devices. The football simulator was released in 2016 and has been going strong ever since.

The game also features a brand new ‘VS attack’ mode where players have to engage in offensive plays and defend against attacks from the opposition. It also has Live Events that are based on real life events.

The developers frequently update the game, with FIFA Mobile 22 bringing in significant changes in both gameplay as well as overall graphics. However, players recently complained about disconnection issues in Head to Head matches ruining the gameplay experience.

Having said that, FIFA Mobile players are now saying (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) that the game is crashing in Challenge mode. Many say the crashes are completely random in nature and can happen at any point in time.

This is making it impossible for players to play Challenge mode. Some said they tried reinstalling the game and clearing app data and cache but nothing seems to be helping.

You can see in the image below what the error message looks like for some.

Here are a few reports from FIFA Mobile players who are angry because of the game crashing frequently.

@EAFIFAMOBILE as soon as opening Attacker challenge mode, same is being crashing. Kindly look into the matter.

Thankfully, FIFA Mobile developers shed some light on the matter and said that using Carniball players in the lineup seems to be reason behind the game crashing in Challenge mode.

While suggesting that a fix is already underway, they also suggested a workaround that involves replacing Carniball players with non-Carniball ones.

We’re aware of an issue where using Carniball Players in your active lineup causes a crash in Challenge Mode. We’re working on fixing this as soon as possible. As a workaround, you can replace Carniball Players in your active lineup with non-Carniball Players.

We hope EA soon releases an update that fixes the FIFA Mobile Challenge mode issue as soon as possible since it is making the game unplayable for many.
