FIFA 22 trouble accessing Ligue 1 Liaisons (cannot find matches) issue gets acknowledged

Both critiques and players have termed FIFA 22 as one of the worst titles in the decades-old franchise. Ever since its launch in September last year, the football simulator has had its fair share of bugs and issues.

Recently, some players complained about their 80+ player picks disappearing while others said they were unable to claim rewards using the Companion and Web app.

And as if that wasn’t enough, FIFA 22 players are now reporting (1,2,3) that they are facing trouble finding any matches in the Ligue 1 Liaisons game mode. Players say that they cannot even find one match and that the matchmaking algorithm times out after 10 minutes.

Many say that they are unable to complete the objective for Gouiri because of the issue while others had trouble finding a single match in the last few days.

You can see in the image below the error message FIFA 22 players are getting after trying to search for a Ligue 1 Liaisons match.

TL:DR everyone is stuck in one mode because no one’s in the other and the friendly requires you to play each other, not either. Did EA mess up this weird new “live opponent” match type in friendlies and make it impossible to find opponents for either mode? If most people want to play Ligue 1 Liasions to get Gouiri instead, they won’t find opponents from La Liga Lights as there are not enough people are picking La Liga. I don’t know why they had to do this. It makes it harder for one specific mode as the player base may be imbalanced on another.

I also had the very same issue on Xbox One. I think that because they are doing cross-objectives that everyone prefers the Ligue 1 player to the La Liga player, thus meaning if you play La Liga objective you’re almost guaranteed to find a game. If you play Ligue 1 objective you’re searching for AGES! Fix your game EA, this is unacceptable.

Thankfully, EA help seems to be aware of the fact that FIFA 22 players are unable to find Ligue 1 Liaisons match. While they said that the issue is under investigation, there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.
