New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story from (April 7, 2023) follows:

Epic Games launched the Epic Games Store to compete in the segment dominated by Steam. It also faces big names like Origin/EA App or Ubisoft Connect.

Like other similar services, the game launcher/store offers multiple login methods. Players have the possibility to access it through a Facebook account.

However, currently multiple Epic Games Store users are facing an issue where they are unable to log in using their Facebook accounts.

Epic Games Store login system using Facebook accounts is currently down or not working

Multiple services usually offer the possibility of quickly logging in through a Facebook account. However, the reliability of this method seems to be somewhat in doubt.

For instance, My Singing Monsters players who used Facebook credentials to log in went weeks being unable to access the game. Also, last year, Hogwarts Mystery players faced a similar situation.

Now, the Epic Games Store users who registered with Facebook credentials are the ones who cannot access their accounts.

when i try to log into epic games with my facebook account it says : this app is not accessible at the moment and the app developer is aware of the problem. you will be able to log in when the app is reactivated. (he’s been doing it for 3 days).

According to reports, the issue has been going on for at least 3 days. This is problematic as players cannot access games they have purchased through the Epic launcher.

Issue acknowledged, potential workaround

It’s worth pointing out that the Epic Games team acknowledged the issue a couple of days ago. However, there is no ETA for a fix yet.

Based on background information related to login issues using Facebook credentials in external services, maybe the fix won’t arrive soon. In the meantime, there is a potential workaround:

I fixed my login problem on Pc & no longer get the Captcha just normal login with password.

I deleted the prefetch folder contents & appdata temp folder contents, which seems to have done the trick. Normal login with no Captcha crap, hope this helps.
