Destiny 2 'Unstoppable Hand Cannon' mod reportedly taking long to proc or not working for some players

Destiny 2 is a game that combines the FPS and pseudo-MMO genres to offer a fun and fast-paced multiplayer experience.

Bungie (Destiny 2 devs) treats the game as a ‘live service’, which means it gets new content constantly. Although the game is free-to-play, there are also seasonal battle passes with a lot of additional content.

The catalog of weapons in the game is quite extensive, although sometimes issues prevent players from trying them all. For instance, we have had reports of Seasonal Artifacts mods not equipping, disabled weapons, etc.

Now, some Destiny 2 players are reporting that the ‘Unstoppable Hand Cannon’ mod is taking long to proc or not working.

According to reports, the most recent Destiny 2 season update brought a change to the behavior of the ‘Unstoppable Hand Cannon’ mod, which is not being well received by some players.

Now, the ‘Unstoppable Hand Cannon’ mod forces players to wait 3 seconds without firing to proc. Previously, the mod allowed for non-stop firing and every 3 seconds it would drop an unstoppable round.

Something I’ve noticed this season is that now with Unstoppable Hand Cannon, you have to wait 3 seconds before firing in order to proc the unstoppable round. This wasn’t the case before as you could just keep ADS firing and after 3 seconds, you’d still get the Unstoppable shot

Unstoppable hand cannon rounds now take ~3 seconds of ADS (w/o shooting) to proc

The mod is not broken. It just takes substantially longer to activate the rounds. You have to aim down sights and not shoot, for nearly 3 whole seconds. Tested this on legendary and exotic hand cannons. Hope this helps.
