Apple is attempting to increase sales through attractive bonus offers. The company has wisely sent out emails informing its iTunes and App Store users of a 10% promotional bonus offer on funds added to an Apple ID account. The images are courtesy of MacRumours.
This means users can simply add money to their Apple ID for any intended purchases. The offer stands on any amount ranging from $1 to $200 which is added to an Apple account. For instance, if one were to add $200, they would receive a total amount of $220.
The offer is valid throughout the United States from 10th March to 14th March. Those living in Germany are lucky as Apple is offering a 15% bonus card. Unfortunately, if you live either in Australia, Canada or the U.K, you will not receive any bonus funds.
Moving on, Apple may find itself in quite a bit of trouble as the epic battle which began in 2017 has now culminated into a long-lasting feud. Courtesy of CNET, we know that Qualcomm wants Apple to pay a hefty amount of $31 million for infringing its patent.
The amount arrived at is by tabulating a fine of $1.40 per infringing iPhone. Thanks to an expert economist, Patrick Kennedy, it was decided that 22 million iPhones had infringed on its technology.
The witness took the stand and shared these facts and figures in front of the judge and jury. While some may call it preposterous, Qualcomm is definitely not taking the matter lightly or letting it go.
The feud is still on and the legal proceedings are likely to continue throughout the week. If Qualcomm does come out on top, Apple’s reputation and financial standing may look very shabby.
Speaking of shabby, it appears that Apple isn’t implementing any new design changes to its Apple iPad mini 5. Rumour has it that it will look exactly like the sixth generation of iPads. This news surfaced through a Japanese website called Mac Otakara.
However, nothing is set in stone as the source did claim that suppliers did not give any concrete information. One supplier claimed that the new iPad would have a 10-inch display while another refuted that claim.
Irrespective of the screen size, the upcoming tab will still make use of the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. This will make the device rather dated as it’s about time that it moved to something like Face ID.
The seventh-generation iPad mini will perhaps launch alongside another Apple tablet. Speculation has it that Apple may use its March 25th event as a platform to launch both devices.
However, the likelihood of this happening is quite low as this event will focus on software and not hardware. Sadly, it’s release date and pricing still remain a mystery!
In other news, Apple has been working hard to switch things up by updating the artwork on its playlists within Apple Music. This did seem a little odd and raised more questions than it answered. Thankfully, the Verge has brought to light the reason why Apple has been doing this.
If you thought it was just for the sake of it, you couldn’t be further from the truth. The company is using artwork from well-known artists in order to garner instant attention. Some of the artists include the creator of the AC/DC logo as well as Stole Moab.
According to Apple’s global director of editorial, Rachel Newman, the artwork on playlists is meant to give users a visual idea of the music which one may find under a particular category. Shedding some more light on this, Newman said:
That rootedness in specific cultures was something that Apple wanted to emphasize when it was commissioning art. Suddenly there is really no strong definition of a genre anymore like there used to [be], you know, in the olden days

Tech giants might face a potential threat if Senator Elizabeth Warren emerges on top in the 2020 U.S presidential elections. In her proposal, she speaks of breaking down monopolistic behaviour. While her report mentions companies like Amazon, Google, and Facebook, Apple could also face the brunt of it.
In all likelihood, Apple’s App Store will be a direct target of this onslaught. The reason for restricting the technology sector is reportedly to promote competition in the market.
Her strategy is likely to be liked by consumers as they would still be able to do everything they do. What will change is the opportunity for small scale businesses which have suffered due to monopolistic practices.
Coming back to the heart of daily Apple news, Apple is back with an updated features page on what an iPhone can do. This time, the company has updated the page with several new videos. These videos are short clips aimed at helping users better understand the iPhone.

The new videos cover a wide range of features, including unlocking the iPhone with Face ID, accessing boarding passes in the Wallet app and choosing a new keyframe in a Live Photo. Believe it or not but Apple is still touting its water resistance feature as the highlight of its iPhones.
Added to this list of recently uploaded videos is a video showing off its water resistance feature. However, do bear in mind that only its iPhone 7 smartphone and upwards feature water resistance.
