Archive of Our Own (AO3) is a popular online platform that serves as a fanfiction archive. It allow users to create and share their creative works based on various fandoms.

However, recently, AO3 has been facing a significant problem — an ongoing DDoS attack. This attack has caused a disruption in the services as it has become inaccessible to users.

A DDoS attack is when someone tries to cause trouble a website by sending too much internet traffic at once. This makes it hard for the website to work properly, causing disruptions or even temporary shutdown.

In the case of AO3, this attack has resulted in a prolonged outage. This has left fans frustrated and they are unable to access their favorite fanfiction stories.

As a result, many users are actively seeking (1, 2, 3, 4) alternative platforms where they can continue to enjoy and share their fandom-related content.

Since ao3 has unfortunately been down most of today, I have went back to using tumblr, quotev, and…. wattpad (desperate times) . I was just curious as to what you guys do or where else do you guys go when the site is down ? (Source)
