A few days after rolling out the update to Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1.1 to eligible Pixel phones, Google is now asking for feedback from those who’ve experienced the new OS over this period with a survey. This was a minor update, weighing in at below 30MB, much like a monthly security patch. The update brings bug fixes and improvements with no major changes to the interface or any big features to write home about.

This survey is limited to Pixel devices running Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1.1 (AP11.231020.016/AP11.231020.016.A1). You can verify this by going to Settings > About Phone/Tablet. Also, verify your device as well as location and carrier (if available).

Your feedback will rate 13 factors namely stability, performance, battery life, device temperature, camera, Bluetooth, call quality, messaging, Wi-Fi connectivity, data connectivity, app experience, authentication (face/fingerprint), and charging (wired charging, wireless charging).

The survey then asks whether you can recommend Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1.1 in its “current state” to other Pixel users and “How satisfied are you overall with the software experience” on a scale of 1-5. You also have to share details of how the new OS compares to the “previous build on your device.”

You’re also required to pick your most annoying issue in the “top issue area” from a possible 15 categories and whether this issue is enough reason for you to leave the Android Beta program. You also have the option to share more details about the top issue you pick, including rating on a scale of 1-10 how much the issue impacts your overall experience.

The survey concludes with feedback on Android Beta Program satisfaction, program logistics and any other additional feedback you may have for the Android Beta team.

Tech has been my playground for over a decade. While the Android journey began early, it truly took flight with the revolutionary Lollipop update. Since then, it's been a parade of Android devices (with a sprinkle of iOS), culminating in a mostly happy marriage with Google's smart home ecosystem. Expect insightful articles and explorations of the ever-evolving world of Android and Google products coupled with occasional rants on the Nest smart home ecosystem.
