Dia has confirmed that the browser will be expanding to Windows soon. It’s already in beta, with hundreds of active testers.

A post on X from Josh Miller, the CEO of The Browser Company, explains that Dia for Windows is currently under active beta testing. Every Wednesday (until the launch), the company also promised to share the progress made throughout the course of the week. It’s a new series called “Windows Wednesdays.” You can view the post below.

In a separate X post from the @diabrowser account (which contains a video), a vague release timeline of “in the fall” was specified. This post also serves as the first episode for Windows Wednesdays, where the company details the progress made.

This is a summary of the first episode:

  1. Kicks off with Chat in Dia. Since Dia has access to the web and several research tools, it can deliver a presentation for you after extensive browsing. The video uses exotic cheese as the topic of research, but you can use Dia Chat for any research.
  2. Once you’ve given your query, Dia will begin compiling information from various sources. Then, the video shifts to talking about how Dia is helpful professionally.
  3. It demonstrates how Dia can access your Slack, summarize various bugs, and put bug reports together. The demo goes on to show how Dia is capable of creating a neatly formatted report, with the most useful information being displayed at the top.
  4. Dia can research various ideas and present the answers in a tabular format that you can conveniently look through.
  5. Dia could ask some follow-up questions if it needs more context.
  6. The high-severity bugs are also being looked into.

Despite this, the requests for Spaces on Dia have not slowed down. Recently, Josh Miller confirmed that Spaces are “going into production soon.”

For users in the early-bird Dia program, Spaces have finally begun showing up as well. More on that here.
