Brave Search has introduced a new feature, right in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Users searching for “World Cup” or related terms will see an interactive result/widget that appears at the top of the search page.

Brave announced this officially through a post on X. You can view a clip demonstrating how it works below. The feature is already live.

I’ve checked for this feature myself, and sure enough, looking up “World Cup” in Brave Search does pull up the new World Cup widget.

Widget.

It includes three main tabs: Games, Standings, and Bracket. The widget provides quick access to the most essential tournament information without needing to quit the search engine.

The Games tab displays the schedule, along with match times, participating teams, and flags. For example, it shows upcoming games such as Mexico versus South Africa and Canada.

Switching to the Standings tab, you’ll find real-time group tables. It includes points, matches played, wins, draws, losses, and more.

Finally, the Bracket tab offers an overview of all the rounds, including scheduled dates.

These at-a-glance information cards are a welcome addition to Brave, and football fans can track the tournament progress directly from the search results page now. It reduces the need ot visit multiple sports websites for live tournament info

The World Cup kicks off on June 11, and the widget will dynamically update with live scores throughout the event. Brave has actually done this before for the 2022 World Cup as well, and it has now been updated for 2026.

Browser makers are prioritizing football fans this tournament season since it’s not just Brave that has added the widget. Opera and Firefox have also introduced their versions of the feature.

The Opera Android app now has a World Cup tracker right on its home screen. It lets users pick their favorite teams and get live match scorecards. We covered that here.

Firefox has added it as well, with live sports widgets on its New Tab page that provide match scores and schedules right in time for the tournament. You can read about that here.
