Roblox seems to be going after condo games in a much bigger way now, and it’s not just deleting accounts anymore.

According to a post by Roblox news account Bloxy News, the company has started sending cease-and-desist letters to some of the biggest condo creators. The claim is that Roblox has identified these people in real life and is prepared to take legal action if they keep it up.

That said, Roblox hasn’t published anything on their official blog, and community notes on the tweet point out there’s no verified source for the statement. So for now, at least parts of this should be treated as unconfirmed.

What does seem more certain is that regular players are getting caught up in this too. RTC, another Roblox news account, posted that Roblox has started moderating players who repeatedly join condo games, not just the creators hosting them. The post even included a screenshot of what appears to to show a full account deletion notice with a moderator note citing “wearing revealing outfits, flirting, kissing, sexual words or actions.”

Another screenshot shared earlier on X shows a warning screen with a specific Place ID flagged and a review date of April 14.

KreekCraft called it a win and said he hopes this kills condo games entirely. Plenty of others agreed. But some raised reasonable concerns, like the fact that condo creators could just disguise their games as something else to trick players into joining. A few also worried the moderation system could flag innocent players by mistake.

That last concern isn’t exactly new. We’ve covered Roblox ban waves before, including one back in March, where players were getting terminated without much clarity on why.

For now, the player bans look easier to pin down than the legal claims, since those are showing up in screenshots and user reports while Roblox still hasn’t said anything publicly. If this keeps up, condo creators will probably just get sneakier, which means players may have an even harder time knowing what they’re walking into.
