It’s almost time for one of the most anticipated sales in India — Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sale — to kick off. While this year’s early price reveals have left many potential shoppers disappointed, a few deals like the one on the Google Pixel 8 stand out.

Google launched the Pixel 8 for an eye-watering price of Rs. 75,999, around $908, in India. Buyers could get more powerful phones like the OnePlus 12, iQOO 12, and even the Xiaomi 14 for less. In fact, if you bumped up your budget every so slightly, you could even bag an iPhone 15. As expected, this left many Pixel fans disappointed.

However, fast-forward to now, Flipkart has hinted that it’s going to sell the Google Pixel 8 for under Rs. 40,000 ($478). That’s almost a 50% discount on the launch price. Here’s a screenshot taken from the Flipkart app:

A few months ago, the device was on sale for Rs. 49,999 ($599). So this new deal is going to knock down the price even further than ever. The exact price at which the device will be available will be revealed on September 21. If you’re on the fence on whether to buy a Pixel 8 right now, especially with the Pixel 9 series being the new kids on the block, then I’d suggest giving this video a watch:

Apart from the Pixel 8, Flipkart has also hinted that the Pixel 8 Pro will bag a discount too. However, the platform is yet to reveal the juicy details about how low the price is about to go. The sale will go live on September 26 for Flipkart Plus members, while others will get access on September 27.
