Pixel fans, we have some good news for you all. The ‘At a Glance’ and Weather widgets are about to get a new home on your Google Pixel phone. Out goes the old Google Search weather page (you know, the one with the frog) and in comes the brand-new Pixel Weather app.
The news dropped recently when an APK of the Pixel Weather app hit the internet, sparking a wave of speculation. The big question on everyone’s mind? “Will it work with my widgets?” Well, wonder no more. Google is now server-side rolling out a slick update that lets your widgets lead you straight to the Pixel Weather app with just a tap.
If you’ve already jumped on the bandwagon and installed the new app, you’ll notice the change soon. No more hopping to that frog page; instead, you’ll dive directly into the sleek, updated Pixel Weather interface. It’s all part of the Pixel 9 series magic — giving you a little extra charm with every swipe and tap.
But don’t worry, froggy fans. Google hasn’t forgotten about you. There’s a fresh batch of weather widgets in the works, still under wraps, but they’ll be sticking with the Google Search app. So, you’ll get to keep your frog friend around, just in a different form.
