In a surprising turn of events, a new 19-minute hands-on video of the upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro XL has surfaced online, revealing extensive details about the flagship device months ahead of its official August 13 announcement.

The leaked video by Andro-news showcases the Pixel 9 Pro XL’s refreshed design, featuring flat edges reminiscent of recent Apple and Samsung devices. Of course, this is not surprising as we’ve seen the Pixel 9 series in multiple video leaks, hands-on photos, and renders for months now.

The device boasts a large 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with nearly QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both the front and back are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, with the rear panel featuring a matte finish.

Under the hood, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is powered by Google’s new Tensor G4 chipset. While it’s reportedly only 15% faster than its predecessor, the G3, Google has managed to significantly improve battery life despite using the same 5,050mAh capacity, according to the video “review”.

The camera system remains largely unchanged from last year, featuring a 50MP main sensor, 48MP ultra-wide, and 48MP 5x periscope telephoto lens. However, the front-facing camera has seen a substantial upgrade from 10.5MP to 42MP.

According to previous leaks, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to start at €1,200 for the base 128GB model, with prices climbing to €1,690 for the top-tier 1TB variant.

As the August 13 launch date approaches, it seems there may be little left for Google to unveil. That said, you can watch the full review below:
